Assalamu Alaykum.
The dear Qur'an asks us,
"Do they not look at the sky above them? How We have made it and adorned it, and there are no flaws in it?" (Surah 50:6)
...and so I looked up at the sky, remembered the picture above made by TheSisterWhoSmiles, and wrote:
An all-encompassing blanket rages
tonight. Its silken texture belies
its fury. Sometimes, it stands still, and ponders
the story of life, then falls.
Other times, it wavers - and a quick blow
drags its own life away...

into clearer, azure skies.
